Apparently Ford wanted to give a few of its offerings a mile-high workout. That would explain why Autoweek reader Brendan Bartolo was able to catch a fleet of four vehicles parked, hoods open, in a Denver hotel parking lot. Now the latest Ford Fiesta has matured nicely in to the market, Ford are busy tweaking what the Fiesta has to offer in response to feedback from sales in the first year (over 350k sold). We had a revision of the Fiesta range back in October (models tweaked and a new top-end Fiesta Individual revealed) and before that we had the Fiesta Sport, an all show and no go version. But now we get the Ford Fiesta Sport+ if you want your Fiesta to look ‘Sporty+’.
McLaren will build 100 special edition 12C supercars to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2013: 50 coupes and 50 folding hard-top Spiders. The birthday edition cars get bespoke lightweight components from McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and extra accessories, as well as a hefty price bump. You'll pay £196,000 for a hard-top McLaren 50 12C, and £215,500 for the McLaren 50 12C Spider – a hefty £20,000 rise over the standard cars' price tags.
